Schizophrenia A Dreadful Disease

It has been estimated that more than 2.7million people in the US are Schizophrenic. It is a form of psychosis and experience episodes like hallucinations and delusions. Their cognitive development is also poor and they do not socialize well. Their thoughts, emotions and expressions are also affected by this dreadful disease. No one knows the cause for Schizophrenia but think that the genetic make-up and the brain chemistry might play a role in this. Doctors say that this is a life-long mental disorder. Though medicines can give relief, it would take a longer while to find the appropriate drug. With proper medical treatment people can lead normal lives.
